Housebook
Co-founded construction documentation platform — Lead Android Developer, contributed to architecture design and the Vue-based web panel.
2016–2024
Housebook is a construction documentation platform I co-founded. As lead Android developer, I built and maintained the mobile app, contributed to the overall architecture design, and worked on parts of the Vue-based web panel over eight years.
Android App
The mobile app lets construction professionals document defects on-site -- capturing photos, adding descriptions, and pinning issues to floor plans directly from their phone or tablet. Originally written in Java, I later migrated the codebase to Kotlin. The B2B app surpassed 5,000 downloads on the Google Play Store.
Housebook Control
All data collected on-site syncs to Housebook Control, the web-based management panel. I worked on parts of this Vue-based frontend alongside Martin Umgeher and contributed to the architecture design, helping shape the API and data model that powers the platform's collaboration and export features.
Long-Term Commitment
Spanning 2016 to 2024, this was a long-running project that evolved alongside changes in Android development, construction industry needs, and the growth of the user base.
